Piano Technician

Absolute Piano Restoration, Inc. in Lowell, Massachusetts is seeking an entry level technician. We are a small shop that specializes in comprehensive piano remanufacturing, which includes the manufacture of various components such as soundboard panels and pinblocks. We also provide in-home and concert services to the local community. Our ideal candidate should be open-minded, independent, cooperative, easy-going, and a problem solver. This is an entry level position; however, the following qualities and skills are what we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Completion of ACCSC approved Certificate in Piano Technology or demonstration of equivalent experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of piano performance

• Basic knowledge of woodworking machinery

• Professional experience with piano tuning that includes repairs, regulation and voicing.

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally

• Database management

• Piano moving experience

• Driver’s License

• Computer/Technology familiarity

• Perform other job-related duties as needed
